ENERGY FORUM OF FINLAND
Energy Forum of Finland was founded in summer 1993 as a co-operation body
between different energy forms and industry interest groups to promote Finnish
energy sector stable and national economically sound development. The
co-operation also removed some duplication of efforts and directed available
resources more effectively.
Co-operation form are regular gatherings to discuss topical subjects and to
arrange large energy industry events such as the National Energy day. Energy
Forum of Finland also produces prices indexes. In addition Energy Forum of
Finland makes statements concerning the energy field and other announcements as
necessary.
Energy Forum of Finland is National Member Committee in the World Energy Council, WEC, and
co-ordinates also other international activities of common interest.
Energy Forum of Finland is also the Finnish National Energy Council in
International Chamber of Commerce (ICC).
The decision-making body is the Board of Directors nominated by the members.
Each member also nominate one vice member, which together form the Executive
Committee. Finnish Oil and Gas Federation has the chairmanship with Councillor
Risto Rinne as the Chairman and Jyrki Pohjolainen as the
Secretary.
