Energy professionals meet in Tampere

Jubilee year of the Energy Fair

Finland’s most significant professional event for the energy industry is arranged at the Tampere Exhibition and Sports Centre in October 2008. EnergiaForum 08 includes the Energia 08 Fair, the traditional Energy Day and Energy Congress as well as a series of seminars and presentations. The event is organized by Expomark Oy and KP-Media Oy in co-operation with the Energy Forum of Finland and the maintenance organization Kunnossapitoyhdistys Promaint.

Finland’s largest energy fair in October 28–30 provides an extensive view over the topicalities and news on the industry. The 10th energy fair brings together important decision-makers, experts and other influential persons from the energy industry under the same roof. According to Nina Nurminen, Project Manager, more than 95% of the exhibition space is already reserved, so for those who still hesitate, it is high time to register.
The main topics are the energy market, production and distribution, power plant systems and equipment, engineering and building, automation, operation and maintenance. Topical themes include energy saving and efficiency, renewable energy forms, nuclear energy, emission trade, refuse burning solutions and recycled fuels. Still other themes are energy production forms, fuels, joint production, transfer and distribution of electricity and heat, district heating and cooling, plant systems, process automation, maintenance and subcontractor services and environmental technology.
High-quality and versatile training program

EnergiaForum is the meeting place for professionals providing an opportunity to network with the experts of the industry, to familiarize oneself with new technologies and to find partners for developing the company’s productivity and energy-efficiency. The training events are arranged under the same roof with the fair. The Energy Day, arranged by Energy Forum of Finland on Tuesday, October 28, brings together the management, decision-makers, experts and other influential persons from the energy industry. The closing celebration with the traditional dinner takes place at the Museum Centre Vapriikki.

The Energy Congress, now arranged for the 9th time, continues on the following day with the topics of energy market, renewable energy sources and energy technologies including presentations by more than 20 experts. A completely new item is provided on Thursday, October 30: a presentation on the effects of biofuels and burning techniques on the furnace maintenance.
